"Firenza je, pored vječnog Rima, možda i najljepši grad u Italiji, simbol renesanse. Maratonska trasa svojim cijelim tokom prolazi kroz grad i obilazi sve značajnije njegove dijelove. Organizacija je traljava, što inače karakterizira talijanske maratone, ali su zato pokloni sponzora neobično izdašni. Majice dobivene u Firenzi su uvijek bile opipljivo bolje i kvalitetnije od bilo kojih drugih, što trkačima uopće nije nevažno. Barem našima."
Išlo bi se 3 dana, od petka do nedjelje,
prijevoz busom do Trsta, pa vlakom do Firenze,
spavanje po običaju u hostelu cijene 25 do 30 EUR/noć,
prijave su moguće on-line na stranicama maratona, a ako se prijavite do 30.06. iznos je 50 EUR (kasnije 60 EUR).
Procjena troškova:
- za maratonce: (startnina 50€, bus 15€, vlak 90€, smještaj 50€ - UKUPNO: 205 EUR)
- za turiste: 155 EUR

Kako bi si mogli planirati troškove - sljedeći veći maraton na koji će se ići organizirano je u Berlinu u 9. mjesecu 2009.
